Anagh Agarwal from Mumbai scored 1600/1600 in the new pattern of SAT and 36/36 in ACT.
Anagh Agarwal, a 16-year-old student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School, has become the first Indian to score a full 100% in his SAT exams and thus an excess of opportunities waiting for him. He aims to pursue a major in economics from Harvard University.
A good SAT or ACT (American College Testing) score standardized examination for admission to US colleges and this would have been enough to secure admission to the Ivy League institute, but the 16-year-old has gone ahead and secured perfect scores in both the exams.
According to TOI reports, Agarwal scored 1600/1600 in the new pattern of SAT and 36/36 in ACT. Most students take either of the exams. “I took it up as a personal challenge. I had always wanted to appear for SAT, and I started preparation about five months ago. To appear for ACT was a last-minute decision,” said Agarwal, adding that his reading habit helped him in his preparation.
He has his plans all made. “I want to get into investment banking for a short period in the US after completing my studies. Then I intend to return to India and join politics and become the finance minister someday,” said Agarwal.

धीरुभाई अंबानी इंटरनैशनल स्कूल के छात्र अनग अग्रवाल की उपलब्धि पर आप यकीन नहीं कर पाएंगे। अनग ने एसएटी और एसीटी (अमेरिकन कॉलेज टेस्टिंग) में 100 फीसदी अंक हासिल करके एक रेकॉर्ड बना दिया है। उसका लक्ष्य इकनॉमिक्स में डिग्री हासिल करने के लिए हार्वर्ड यूनिवर्सिटी में दाखिला लेना है। वैसे तो एसएटी या एसीटी में थोड़ा अच्छा अंक हासिल कर लेना ही अमेरिका के कॉलेजों में दाखिला लेने के लिए काफी है लेकिन अनग ने कुछ असाधारण कर दिखाया।
अनग ने एसएटी के नए पैटर्न में 1600 में से 1600 और एसीटी में 36 में से 36 अंक हासिल किया। ज्यादातर छात्र दोनों में से कोई एक टेस्ट देते हैं। अग्रवाल ने बताया, ‘मैंने इसे निजी चैलेंज के तौर पर लिया। मैं हमेशा एसएटी में बैठना चाहता था और इसकी तैयारी पांच महीने पहले शुरू कर दी थी। एसीटी में बैठने का फैसला अंतिम क्षणों में लिया था।’ अग्रवाल का कहना है कि उसकी पढ़ने की आदत से तैयारी में काफी मदद मिली।
अग्रवाल ने अपनी योजना बताई, ‘मैं अपनी पढ़ाई पूरी करने के बाद थोड़ी अवधि के लिए इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंकिंग सेक्टर में काम करना चाहता हूं। उसके बाद मेरा भारत लौटने और राजनीति में आने का इरादा है और उसके बाद एक दिन वित्त मंत्री बनूंगा।’
