Recently I went to visit my friend in Zirakpur. Since he had been staying alone, we went together to buy some grocery items from Paras Dow Town Mall, Zirakpur. It was there that I came across a store named “Super 99 store“. It took me no time to realize that this store provides products with a price tag that end with 99. This is what we call Psychological Pricing in management terminology.

What is Psychological Pricing?

Well, psychological pricing (also known a chart pricing or price ending)  is a marketing strategy or pricing a product in such a way that it impacts the psyche of the customers and they get attracted towards the product. For example, a product would be priced at Rs. 999 instead of Rs. 1000 wherein the customer would be of the notion that it is actually priced in 3 digits rather than 4 digits. Bata is one of the front-runner companies in India to have used the psychological pricing.




Product Review: Thermos Bottle

Now since we were there I tough to give a try to this Super99 store by purchasing any of their products. After much discussion we decided to purchase a Thermos bottle as we, being residents of a hill station Shimla, thermos becomes a necessary household item. As far as the outer appearance is concerned, the product looks quite appealing and catchy in comparison to many of its competitors in the same price range. The body is made of blue plastic. The thermos flask is made of a good quality material which keeps the stored liquid material warm for more than 4 hours. Now since I am open to reviewing this product, let us clearly talk about the Pros & Cons of the item.

Pros:

1. The look, feel and appeal of the product is value for the money spent on purchasing it.
2. The hot liquid stored in the flask remains hot for more than 4 hours.
3. The entire product is detachable with makes cleaning the cover and the flask an easy task.
4. The thermos cover lid can also be used as a cup for drinking the stored warm liquid.

Cons:

1. Seriously speaking, I couldn’t find a single flaw in the product since you cannot expect too much at a cost as low as this.

Product Review: Classy Coffee Mug

We also purchased a classy coffee mug as there was a need for the same in my friend’s place. As far as the outer appearance is concerned, the product looks quite appealing and catchy in comparison to many of its competitors in the same price range. The mug is made of bone china ceramic. The body is yellow in colour and the print is classy indeed. Now since I am open to reviewing this product, let us clearly talk about the Pros & Cons of the item.

Pros:

1. The quality of the product is value for the money spent on purchasing it.
2. The capacity is quite good for having coffee while intense study period.

Cons:

1. The colour of the product is not that appealing and there was very less choice available to purchase from.

Product Review: Bowling Playset

I came across some toys and decided to purchase a bowling playset for my sweet niece Kyna Sharma who is just 3 years old and stays back in Noida. The bowling set is made of plastic having 7 skittles and a plastic ball. It is overall good in appearance. Now since I am open to reviewing this product, let us clearly talk about the Pros & Cons of the item.

Pros:

1. The quality of the product is value for the money spent on purchasing it.
2. A cheap and simple way to make kids happy and satisfied.

Cons:

1. The quality of plastic used in making the skittles in not that good but what else can you expect at such a low cost.
